History

I have always loved artwork, but it has only been in the last eight years that I have worked on developing my skills. I studied watercolor for a short time with Pete Petersen, and more recently, acrylics from Jon McNaughton.

Passion

The thing I love about art is that it is an expression of one’s self. Whether it is a three year old who scribbles a picture and proudly gives it to a loved one, a youth who passionately splatters paint on canvas creating something that only she understands, or a seasoned artist who has learned the skills to recreate real life on a hard surface, each have shared their souls in their creations.

Philosophy

To me, painting is a way to both express and evoke emotions. As I paint, my desire is to create artwork that inspires feelings of beauty, tranquility, hope, imagination and nostalgia.
